Modern Tools for Visualizing Network Traffic
I gave a talk at CHI-NOG 06 on how to build data driven, interactive network traffic maps and time series charts of network traffic. It starts with a very brief introduction to ESnet’s overall data analysis and visualization approach and then quickly moves into demonstrating the capabilities of the libraries we have developed and showing how to use them with your own data. This code is used extensively in the publicly visible ESnet portal. The libraries are open source and the documentation can be found at:
